Vol. 17 No. 3 November 1997 - Subscription renewal - Future meetings

This issue contains an article by John MacLachlan with musings on some interesting points of homoeopathic theory which were sparked by his cure of an old woman suffering from very itchy skin. It appeared in The Homoeopathic World journal, edited by Dr J H Clarke, in 1930.The importance of seaching for a history of “never well since …” as a cause is illustrated in Roger Schmidt’s migraine case. Schmidt, brother of Pierre, was a leading, if not dominating, figure in Californian homceopathy in the 1940s. His article states no potencies, but he was a high-potency prescriber. It appeared first in The Layman Speaks, 1950.

Addressing contemporary issues are articles by Dermot Hurly, of the Holistic Medical Centre, Mt Albert, Auckland, and Sue Muller, an Auckland homceopath and nurse. I am sorry that some of you have been confused by the irregular appearance of Homoeopathica this year, due to a concatenation of unusual circumstances; and, yes, there will be a December issue of 24 pages, like this one, to make up the total number of pages of a five-issue year. Next year will see publication as usual.
