Jon Gamble and Nyema Hermiston have created a series of pocketbooks to inform and encourage consumers dealing with challenging conditions; e.g. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS); childhood ear infections, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). These ‘pocket rockets’ pack a punch with a wealth of practical information ranging from nutritional and lifestyle advice to homeopathic support. They serve not only the consumers for which they are aimed but also create a great reference for students and practitioners of homeopathy or other modalities.

Jon and Nyema are both partners in life as well as collaborators in practice. In 2021 they expanded their “Treat Yourself” pocket series with Treat Your Child’s Ear Infections Yourself written by Nyema and  Treat Your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Yourself written by Jon. The series now includes 4 editions

These slim volumes, provide comprehensive and multi-disciplinary views of the conditions they describe. Clear and well-sequenced narratives are used to describe and define the conditions. Skillfully they avoid over-simplification or overwhelming density. Both authors use very clear and considered language that provides hopefulness and proactive solutions without over-promising.

Jon & Nyema’s training and practice in a wide range of disciplines intelligently informs their perspectives. For instance, Nyema brings her nursing background, naturopathic, nutritional, and homeopathic knowledge, and her training in research to the writing. Jon brings his keen editorial eye from his experience in publishing as well as his clinical perspective shaped by training in osteopathy, homeopathy, and naturopathy.
