Understanding how a proving works and how to read a proving gives us a much clearer judgement of how accurate and how comprehensive the information found in the Materia Medica is, thus helping us to understand accurately how well it matches the picture of our patient’s disease. From the cover: Comments on other titles in the series: “Here is a beautiful book written by an author who lives and breathes the subject – this knowledge permeates the writing making it a useful work-book for the committed student.” Misha Norland “Peter has quite brilliantly drawn together the threads of the higher realms of human experience and brought them down to earth to be of immense practical use in our everyday practices.” Janet Snowdon
PROVING The proving is a vital part of homoeopathy. It is the process by which remedies are discovered, explored and added to the Materia Medica. Understanding how a proving works and how to read a proving gives us a much clearer picture of what we know about a remedy and how we know it. We can make a clearer judgement of how accurate and how comprehensive is the information found in the Materia Medica and so understand accurately how well it matches the picture of our patient’s disease. These books are primers and do not require previous familiarity with the systems but they are also useful as a workbook for those who know and use the systems.
